Hope Church has many opportunities for members and the community to give to the church.

KGLH Radio
The church's gospel radio station is not an item budgeted by the church.  Its survival depends entirely on donations from members of the church and the community.  Donations are used to purchase equipment as necessary, such as upgrading transmitters, computers and software; pay yearly music license fees; fees to the Federal Communications Commission and other fees.

Operation S.T.R.E.T.C.H.
This opportunity is put on by our Sr. High Youth Group.  This is a group of young people who are striving to know God, serve God, and worship God.  What follows is some of their initial plans:

* Monthly they will sort clothing, toys and miscellaneous items that have been abandoned in repossessed homes.  They will give the items to individuals struggling with poverty and/or agencies that assist low-income individuals and families.

*  They will make birthday kits (i.e. birthday cake mix, candles, balloons, etc.) for children who would otherwise not have these items.  They also will provide birthday parties at the River of Hope Youth Center.

*  They will host a monthly movie night for youth and children in need.

The youth have named this mission "Operation S.T.R.E.T.C.H."  S.T.R.E.T.C.H. means Students Teaching & Reaching out to Everyone Through Christ's Hands.  If you would like to support this mission endeavor, please make your checks out to Hope Church and label it as "Operation S.T.R.E.T.C.H."

Permanent Endowment Fund
Hope's Permanent Endowment Fund was established in 1989 with a gift from a long-time church member.  The fund is a way for individuals to give back to the church and expand Christian stewardship.  Large and small gifts are accepted.  Gifts may be in the form of cash, real estate, corporate stocks or bonds.

Permanent Endowment gifts are invested and administered by the Endowment Committee with the approval of the Session.  The simplest gifts are undesignated and unrestricted contributions that can be easily used where the greatest need exists.  However, individuals may designate their gift for a certain purpose, program or memorial consistent with Hope's mission.  Income received from the fund will be used for:

* Mission Outside of Hope Church:  Local mission causes such as food shelf or soup kitchen, Presbyterian causes like the Hunger Fund or overseas programs, the Presbyterian Family Foundation, local chemical dependency programs, Christian organizations on local campuses, etc.
* Mission Inside of Hope Church: Special events in the church beyond budget, such as extraordinary Christian education needs, adult/youth work-study mission trips, scholarships and other programs deemed appropriate by the Session.
* Special Capital Needs: Worthy projects such as building improvements, church and office equipment, landscaping needs, etc.
* Reinvestments: All or any portion thereof, as determined by the Session, will be reinvested as principal.

A gift to the Permanent Endowment Fund is a gift to the church that will continue to grow long after it has been given.
